Any one have a list that has all the AbilityTypes that will work in the VehicleSizes?

I know that some Work but What dose work and what dose not. .
But dose any one have a list of what will work and what wont?

So far no abilities that start with Component- Will work. . Was trying to see if I could mod all hulls to be resistant to small weapon damages such as fighters.

Racial Traits

I've been playing SE5 for a while now and find the racial traits in need of a overhaul. Right now as I see it their benefits or negatives in particular are not worth the points.

My suggestion is a revamp of their cost to make them more useful and to dissuade taking MANY negatives like I see now.

My idea is a simple:

1. Triple the percentages for the positive/negative increases/decreases.
2. Double the points cost for the positive.
3. Leave the points cost the same for the negative.

Example:

Old way: Mining Aptitude is 500 points for a 5% mining increase and -500 points for a -5% mining decrease.

Hey there are many sites like this but many say do it urself, well most cant it is hard and messing with it isnt easy. So wen u put ur ideas here the rest should try to help u mod them and add them to the game.Any good idea is welcome.

Save problem continues

Im really annoyed and angry,new operating systems should be superb and everything should work better,i have not managed to get Space Empires 5 working with Windows Vista,installing different folder didn't get SE5 working,no saving and stucks to first turn,but other games will work,strange?

Attacking a Planet

I'm having issues attacking enemy planets with 1.71. Maybe I'm missing something!

When I do Strategic combat, all my ships just fly away from it.
When I do Tactical, I can make them all fly towards the planet, just not fire on it. I give the order to fire on the planet, and on the next turn all of the ships just drop target.

My ships are Dreadnaughts set up with shield imploders, graviton bombs, cannons, and capital ship missiles.

I've changed the Attack strategy to various things with no difference in combat.

The Bombard Planet in the command editor is greyed out, so that's confusing to me too.

Stock Empire Design Names

Hello, I just downloaded the Saved Stock Empire Designs, so I could use the stock empires outside of quick play. Thing is after starting a game I went to select a design name for a ship design and there was none listed. The design name file is listed in the empire set up though. Is there anyway to get the design names that the empires normally use in quick play to work in a set up game?

Problem with Strategy, Target Type

The test environment:
- SEV v1.71 Stock (All Tech Game)
- one frigate without engines, armed with one point defense blaster
- one fighter, armed with one small anti-matter torpedo
- the fighter circles around the frigate, firing each 4s

The strategy:
I want the frigate to shoot on seekers first, then on fighters. So I modified a strategy by setting all engage distances to "do not engage" - except for seekers and fighters - and aligned them in the right way (seekers before fighters). I even set the target priority order to "target type" and the rest to "nearest (absolute)". After that I set the strategy in the design window.
