Your 1.71 multiplayer woes.

While reading the forum of Galactic Domination 3 (I was curious to see what my empire has become), I found out that this game was stopped because of recurrent problems:
"None of these ships had to pass through the warp point or past our weapons, they've just appeared there. No combat. I verified in the diplomatic menu that we are indeed at war."
It seems that this bug was caused because the game has grown to be "too big" (ironic considering what kind of game SE5 wants to be) - too many units had to be tracked. Unit limit was set to 10.000 per player.

Balance Mod and a movement bug

I have not found whether it has been reported and this report have been long time due but I have constantly been forgetting it. At least from BM1.11 up to BM1.14a there is a movement bug. All ships that have the odd number of movement points starting from 13, move in the simultanic mode on the galactic map one point less. So, if they have 13 they move only 12, if 15 - 14, and so on. Is there a chance as to correct it?

alliance woes (+game crashing bug)

1st off i'll start by listing a game crashing bug
if you're in an alliance and you try to send an alliance message, it works fine, however, i've found if you then try to select the "perform intelligence against empire" button/option the game immediately crashes. this is repeatable too. (playing with FQM, BM and latest patch/version of SEV and both mods)

next off, i find the AI empires outside the alliance continues to try and get me to sign treaties - even though i cannot independently accept them.
which brings me to my next woe: you cannot seem to get an alliance to form treaties with others (including declaring war), even with a majority win in a vote.

medic centres vs plagues, not a preventative?

in a game (1.71) with BM installed, i've had 3 plagues happen to my empire. (all lvl1 plagues)
so 1st time it happens i put 100% into medical research, getting lvl 5 next turn, letting my make a medic ship to send to the planet.
after this i systematically place a lvl5 medical centre in all systems. but i still get hit by 2 more plagues. the latest one actually on a planet with a medical centre present.
so i'm wondering if it's a typo in the facility description. it does cure the plague on the next turn, but it doesn't seem to stop an outbreak, nor prevent 1 turn's worth of death before it
