Handeling conquered planets

Submitted by gulu on Tue, 2006-11-14 01:52. Space Empires V FAQs

I conquered a two plantes in a system. So now the enemy has three planets and I have two. For some reason, when I try to build something on either planet I run out of resources. One of the planets has a space port. Is there something wrong with the game or am I missing something?

Also, one of the plantes went into a riot and is not comming out of it no matter how many troops I put on the ground. Any way to improve the situation (other than letting the enemy take it back and the recapturing it)

Thanks.

Well, make sure you have the resources you want to build with (btw, spaceports get resources OUT, not in. You can always get 'em in).

That said, I think someone mentioned riots are causing "not enough resources" messages for their no construction alert.

As far as the constant riots, try Urban Pacification centers and / or placing a junkload of ships in orbit.

Zero population perhaps?

Check the populations on those planets. Chances are you wiped out the native population. That's the message I get whenever I try to build things on a planet with zero population.

Good point. Also, I've tried brining in ground troops to stop riots and it appears to work.
