Site Layout and Maintenance |
Sorry to say this, but I find the layout and maintenance of this site poor to the point that it's creating confusion. For instance, the home page shows that the latest DevNull mod issued is 1.66, but when one eventually finds the links (not easy, by any means) one fonds that the actual latest release is 1.71.3.1, which solves at lot of the problems.
Even when one does find the right place, it's still as confusing as hell: the only way to find out just what's availabl;e seems to be to through read the threads and pick up information about, for instance, FQM, multi-media, planet packs, etc. They aren't described in detail, so one doesn't know where thay are, what they do or it what combination of mods they can be used. Complete confusion and frustration for someone who comes to the site for the first time, or rarely.
What's wrong, please, with doing as the old SE site did and have a link that points directly to mods? And to having a list of the available mods, their descriptions and interaction, regularly updated?

Re: Site Layout and Maintenance
Perhaps you'd be better served by the Wiki for such information? This site is seems to be second fiddle to Strategy First (no offense to Julian)...
Though it should be noted that the data for game mods on this site is maintained by users, not the staff. Devnullicus apparently hasn't updated his Devnull project page here in a while.
